The status LED flashes green to indicate when charging is in progress, then turns solid green when charging is complete for foolproof charging, peak performance, and maximum runtime.

The Traxxas Ford Raptor includes a Traxxas iD® Power Cell™ Battery Pack optimized for free-flowing power and maximum punch with premium quality, low-resistance cells; flexible, silicone-jacketed 12-gauge wire; heavy-duty welded tabs; and Traxxas High-Current Connectors. Traxxas iD chargers (sold separately) auto-detect iD-equipped Power Cell batteries and automatically set and optimize charge settings. What is a DC Charger?

A DC charger allows you to fast-charge your 5, 6, or 7 cell (6.0 - 8,4 volt) NiMH battery from a common 12v automotive power source.

If you do not have access to an automotive power source you'll need to add the Traxxas 2976 – AC to DC Power Supply Adapter. Or you can add our Hub Hobby Generic AC to DC Adapter. These adapters let you plug your charger into a standard AC outlet at home or the track.

Alternatively, you can buy a Traxxas EZ-Peak Fast Charger and skip the adapter altogether. This would also allow for the use of Traxxas Lipo batteries.
